“It's Pie O’clock Somewhere!”
By Damon Scism
Passing out pies every year has become a fun tradition for all of us at Rise Up. Personally, I love it—I get to hang out with my friends. And I get to meet new people and get to pray for them, or even just make their day. Me, Josiah and Ms. Rebecca met some truck drivers, not from Johnson City. We found out that in the past, they were not able to celebrate Thanksgiving with their family, but now they do. They said they thought it was amazing that we were doing this. We prayed for them, so that they could have safe travels. It made me feel good inside. I’m just grateful that I could do that. It was a good day for everyone—except for the pie!
Our Runner Up was: Queen Quewea!
