Elementary School
Foundations That Last a Lifetime
Our elementary school program (SKIA), provides academic support, character development, and a place to belong every day after school.
Helping Kids Learn, Grow, and Thrive
At Rise Up, we believe every child deserves a safe, encouraging space where they can grow academically, emotionally, and spiritually. Our elementary afterschool program—SKIA—serves students in grades K–5 from Mountain View, North Side, and Fairmont elementary schools.
SKIA runs Monday through Friday during the school year and continues through the summer with a lighter, fun-filled schedule. Our staff picks up students from their schools and brings them to The Refuge, where they are welcomed with a smile, a warm meal, and a structured afternoon of enrichment and fun.

More Than an Afterschool Program
SKIA isn’t just about tutoring or playtime, it’s about investing in the whole child. Through daily interactions, encouragement, and a Christ-centered environment, we help each student understand their value and potential.
We walk alongside families to offer consistent support, prayer, and care, because when a child thrives, a whole community rises.
"Rise Up is not just an after-school program. It’s family. My children come home not only with completed homework, but with joy in their hearts, songs on their lips, and a sense of purpose in their steps."
- Princess Buckman, Parent
